About this policy

This policy explains how Golf Skate Caddy Australia (GSC™) collects, uses, stores and discloses your personal information. GSC™ is operated by Fiik Skateboards PTY LTD (ABN 43 138 043 393).

We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

What personal information we collect

Depending on how you deal with us, we may collect:

  • your name and contact details (email address, phone number, delivery and billing address)
  • order details, including the products you buy and your delivery or pickup choice
  • information you send through our contact, demo-ride and enquiry forms (for example, details and photos you provide for our GSC V owner upgrade offer)
  • reviews you choose to submit
  • your marketing preferences
  • information about how you use our website, collected through cookies (see below)

We do not store your full credit card details. Payments are processed securely by our payment providers.

How we collect it

We collect personal information when you place an order, create an account, fill in a form, contact us by email or phone, submit a review, sign up for updates or browse our website. If you choose not to give us certain information, we may not be able to process your order or respond to your enquiry.

How we use it

We use your personal information to:

  • process, deliver and support your orders, including pickups, returns and warranty claims
  • respond to your enquiries and connect you with your nearest GSC representative or service centre
  • keep internal records
  • improve our products, services and website
  • send you news and offers, but only where you have agreed or the law allows. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in our emails or by contacting us.

Who we share it with

We only share personal information where it is needed for the purposes above, including with:

  • our e-commerce platform provider (Shopify)
  • payment providers offered at checkout, including card payments (such as Visa and Mastercard) through our Shopify checkout, PayPal, Zip Money, Humm and Afterpay
  • delivery carriers
  • our authorised GSC representatives and service centres, when you ask for a demo, sales help or service
  • our review platform (Judge.me) when you submit a review
  • Google (Google Analytics) and Meta (the Facebook Pixel), which help us understand how our website is used and measure and improve our advertising
  • government or other authorities when required by law

We do not sell your personal information.

Overseas disclosure

Some of our service providers, such as Shopify, Google and Meta, may store or process personal information outside Australia, for example in Canada and the United States.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, remember your cart and preferences, help us understand how visitors use the site (Google Analytics), and measure and personalise our advertising (Meta Pixel). You can set your browser to refuse cookies, but some parts of the website may then not work properly.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, change or disclosure. This includes secure (SSL) connections and access controls. We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above or as required by law.
